In the name of God
Introduction to Islam

Islam is the religion brought to the world by Mohammad. With lots of miracles. Even one of his miracles is remaining even now. (I will explain about it later.)

Islam is a religion believing in other divine religions like Judaism & Christianity & preceding prophets like Moses & Jesus. & introduces itself as the most perfect religion having the best life program God has sent down to us whose commandments are in a manner that can be valid until the Last day. In fact, despite being the same as other divine religions in main parts of faith, it knows itself as a religion with the best commandments for human life during the centuries & in different conditions. In other divine scriptures, God had foretold the graceful appearance of prophet Mohammad.

The base of Islamic religion is belief in God, the Prophet & the holy leaders after him and also obeying their commandments.

Moreover, belief in the Last Day & loving God, the Prophet & the holy leaders.

Some elegant properties of Islam:

1. Islam highly emphasizes on truth & teaches that the only way to felicity is following the truth.

2. In Islamic view, every person, either the righteous or the wicked can communicate with the Supreme God. The God who is powerful over everything. The God who is so great that nobody can describe him. The God who is so merciful, gracious & generous.

3. Islam has rational & desirable doctrines. Unfortunately there is some superstition in other religions that no rational person can accept them. But Islam isn't so. All bases of Islam are rational. In Islamic teachings, God is known as a mighty being against whom no one can stand. & also is known as a very merciful & lovely being. According to this religion, all the life is not this worldly life, but we know that the main part of our life is the life after death! & this world is a path.

4. Islam is free of any kind of evil & vice. In some of the religions, some ungraceful deeds are permitted, which has degraded human to be even an animal!

5. In Islamic faith, we have a love-based bond with the religious leaders & even they sometimes help us via miraculous aids.

6. Islam has metaphysical & divine teachings which form a huge part of Islam; e.g. the ones related to the Last day, Barzakh & angels.

7. According Islamic viewpoint the best society is the one that is free of any kind of vice, depravity & immorality. With commandments like Hijab, Islam has tried to reduce depravity in the society & to make a proper & safe environment for human pacing through the felicity & accomplishment way.

The following is a list of several verses from Quran, the divine book of Muslims.

God's so gracious & merciful, having introduced himself in this way in his book Quran:

Say: O my people, who have been transgressed against yourselves (doing sins), do not despair of God’s mercy; surely God forgives sins altogether; surely He is the Clement Merciful. (39:53)

Anyhow, anyone who sins then really repents, God will forgive him, because he is so merciful.

He said, and 'who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, except those who are astray?' (15:56)

Yes! Really, only the astray despair of the mercy of the most merciful. But the wise are never so!

… Except the one who repents, and believes, and does righteous work – those, God will change their evil deeds into good deeds, for God is Clement Merciful (25:70)

See! God is so gracious that changes evil deeds of those who really repent into good deeds. Such is Islam. Islam is all elegance, mercy & perfection.

Whoso brings a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof to his credit; and whoso brings an evil deed shall only be recompensed the like of it; they shall not be wronged. (6:160)

& this is another sight of God's pervasive grace! Nine times more reward for the good deeds while punishment of evil deeds is just & as much as merited. Certainly even this punishment is forgiven for those who repent.

And when My servants question thee (O Muhammad) concerning me (answer that) I am near (to them); I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on me; so let them obey me, and let them believe in me; so that they may be led aright. (2:186)

According to Islam, everybody is allowed to call to his merciful Creator & prays to him & request Him whatever he wants. God says He is near his servants and responds the one who call Him.

Whom does God like & whom does He hate?

Say: 'Obey God, and the Messenger.' But if they turn away, then God loves not the unbelievers. (3:32)

Therefore God doesn't love the unbelievers; i.e. those who don't believe in His current religion.

Assuredly God will defend those who believe; surely God loves not any ungrateful traitor. (22:38)

And God loves His servants who obey Him & his commandments.

& you can read more in other verses of Quran.

One of beliefs of every Muslim is the belief in the Last Day. In that day, all of the righteous are with each other & go into Paradise while the Devil-followers and the evil go to the hell to be punished for what they did.

On that day they will follow the Summoned in whom there is no crookedness; voices will be humbled for the Gracious (God), so that thou hear naught but murmuring. (20:108)

The Kingdom, that day shall belong to God, and He shall judge between them. As for those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, they shall be in Gardens of Bliss. (22:56)

The Kingdom that day, the Truth Kingdom, shall belong to the Gracious (God), and it shall be a harsh day for the unbelievers. (25:26)

Answer you’re Lord, before there comes a day from God that cannot be turned back; upon that day you shall have no shelter, no denial. (42:47)

On that day those who disbelieved and disobeyed the Messenger will wish that they were buried in the earth, (but) they (can) not hide a single fact from Allah. (4:42)

& God describes the Paradise:

Eden Gardens they shall enter, underneath which rivers flow, wherein they shall have all they will; thus God recompenses the pious. (16:31)

(The following is) The description of Paradise which the pious have been promised: in it are rivers of water the taste and smell of which don't change; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine delicious to those who drink; and rivers of clarified honey (clear and pure) therein for them is every kind of fruit; and forgiveness from their Lord. (Are these) like those who shall dwell for ever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels? (47:15)

& He says about Hell, the place of the evil:

But whoso opposes the Messenger after the guidance has become clear to him, and follows a way other than the believers’, him We shall turnover to what he has turned to and We shall roast him in Hell – what an evil homecoming! (4:115)

On the Day when it shall be heated in the fire of Hell, then their foreheads and their sides and their backs shall be branded with it; this is what you hoarded up for yourselves, therefore taste what you hoarded. (9:35)

Verse about the Paradise & the Hell are much more than these. You can see them fully-explaining in various Surahs of Quran.

God has promised to quicken all after death. He said:

That is because God – He is the Truth, and brings the dead to life, and is powerful over everything, (22:62)

So behold the marks of God’s mercy, how He quickens the earth after its death;
surely That (God) is the one who quickens the dead, and He is powerful over everything. (30:50)
